On the Transition Day, your child will meet their new classes and some of their new teachers. They’ll learn how to find their way around the school and the names and faces of people who are able to assist your child next year if they are unsure of where to go or what to do. Your child will also do some lessons introducing them to the kind of work they will do in Year 7.
Your child will need to wear their primary school uniform on Transition Day. Bring in a packed lunch or money for the canteen, a water bottle, hat and stationery.
Students will meet at the hall on Transition Day. Staff members and student leaders will be available that morning to offer assistance. From the hall, your child will be escorted to their new class where their day will begin.
